We are into our fourth week of school! Time is "flying!" (For those of you studying figurative language be prepared to tell me what that means). Progress reports will come out with regular student report cards in approximately five weeks. If you have any questions prior to that time feel free to call or email me.
Alright guys, speech classes are off and running! I am sending parent letters home next week with our class website address. Our students are already working on speech goals for this nine weeks. I expect to see grand improvements in that amount of time. Our kids are hard workers!
Hope you all are enjoying your summer. I have been thinking about each of you and some new activities for the 2011-2012 school year. Please blog any ideas you may have as well. I love to have your input! Be safe and have fun in the sun!
Ms. Saundra Guys we have arrived at the final day of the 2010-2011 academic year! I have enjoyed teaching each and every one of you. Please read your final progress reports and follow any instructions for the summer included. We will pick up where we left off in August!
Just have a wonderfully fun and safe summer! My best to you all, Ms. Saundra Wow! What a big two weeks we just had. CRCT was last week (which I helped give), make-up testing and CRCT-M was given this week (I also helped give). Because of this our speech schedule has been crazy. We're looking forward to a more normal week next week.
Our fluency page is completed and our language page is coming along. I realize some language sections sound technical but there may be someone out there looking for that information so, its there! Language can be so complicated and I just barely touched on it. I will work on language games at Quia.com and then link them to the appropriate page. I hope all of you are doing well and looking forward to a super summer. You have each worked so hard for yourselves in speech this year. I am proud of you all. Three weeks left to practice your hearts out! I'll be glad to send home practice sheets and activities to anyone willing to "dig in" during the long break. Keep up the super work! Ms. Saundra I've been working hard on the website. I realize it is coming along slowly. Our students are providing input so we will have relavent information for them in each section. Since the release of the movie "The King's Speech", much attention has been drawn to stuttering. So, I've been working on our fluency page most recently. It is still not completed but please visit that page and listen to some famous stutterers!
Ms. Saundra Students are really enjoying the games link to Quia that I recently created! They should be using this website at home for practice. I'll keep udating our site. Language is the next page to be completed! Thanks for being patient.
Our 2010-2011 school year is off to a great start! Speech classes have begun. Students are aware of their goals and are already working hard to meet them. They are especially excited about our new webpage. Students had an opportunity to contribute to our site today so expect additions soon!
